A classic cocktail revisited

Originality and creativity is good, but I suggest you review the basics. A good way to learn how to create well-balanced cocktails is to revisit the classics by adding your own touch!

I present to you a recipe that I created for an inspiring project in which I participated. This consisted of creating 4 cocktails for the launch of Lock 4 gin and vodka, products made in Quebec.

So I present to you a rhubarb gimlet. I named it the Ludger to pay tribute to the man who participated in the architecture of the Saint-Henri district where the distillery is located.

A refined, refreshing and delicious cocktail.

Here is the recipe: for a drink

The Ludger: (rhubarb gimlet)

 - 1.5 oz of gin

- 0.5 oz lemon juice

- 0.5 oz rhubarb syrup

- Rhubarb muddle (mashed with a pestle)

Trim :

- Wood pick and rhubarb ribbon

Glassware:

- Marie Antoinette bowl

Steps

  • Pour all the ingredients into the mixer (shaker).
  • Shake vigorously for the first time without ice cubes (dry shake).
  • Add ice cubes, then shake vigorously again.
  • Double strained through a fine mesh strainer into a chilled glass.
  • Garnish with the lemon wedge.

HEALTH !
